The 2012 Getaway Reader’s Choice Awards respondents came from far and wide, answering a call through Getaway’s website, newsletters, magazine, Facebook and Twitter. A sample of 1 571 readers completed the survey, which consisted of 40 questions across different outdoor gear categories: hiking and camping gear, 4×4 accessories, trailers and caravans and photographic toys. The results reveal your top five favourite brands expressed as percentages.
The graphics represent Getaway readers’ brand ‘favourites’ in each category, indicating desirability and positive perceptions of brands. The text contextualises this with actual ownership of these brands as well as other interesting ‘anomalies’ in the data such as – some of our readers appear to be nudists.
